Beakerloo specializes in 20th and 21st century art and furnishings.
It offers modern master prints and furnishings from notable artists and designers (many heralding from mid-century) with solid design aesthetic, clean lines and iconic imagery that continue to inform and influence contemporary culture.
Beakerloo was formed in 2013 and is owned and operated by Brent Duncan and Lucy Godman.
In 2017 Beakerloo opened its first brick and mortar store located in German Village at 190 E. Whittier Street, Columbus, Ohio 43206.
Brent holds degrees from the College of Wooster and Case Western Reserve University in art history. He has been actively buying and selling art for over 20 years and has experience in the museum, gallery and online and live auction business. Brent comes to Beakerloo with extensive knowledge of market trends, valuation and art as commodity which informs his work with acquisitions, sales, appraisals and consignments. He often represents clients in their search for specific works of art or artists and designers from a specific time period. Lucy earned her degree from Columbus College of Art & Design and moonlights at Beakerloo.
